Hello Suzies, 

Completed.

The end of my opening project on this blog has arrived.  I have enjoyed this 30 Day Snap!  As I have read, other bloggers who partook in the challenge would seem to agree with if I said this challenge opens up one's eyes.  Ordinary things become extraordinary, and that, I think, is something we all need in our lives- to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.  I hope you have enjoyed my pictures throughout the month of June.  I am very excited for the different types of posts I have planned in the future.  Starting with a Trend Report tomorrow!

Something I am very proud to say is that I am an American.  Sometimes I wish the citizens of America showed a little bit more patriotism all of the time not just on the Fourth of July or during the Olympic Games. That's my take.

So majestic aren't they? Hahaha!  I have only ever ridden a horse once and it was super fun!  I went to a craft festival type shindig yesterday and saw this beauty!  Although it reeked of horse poo, there is nothing that can stop me from taking a cool picture!

It's the first day of summer which makes it the longest day of the year!  Mr. Sun was shining so bright today, but around 6 o'clock the dark clouds rolled in and didn't roll away until the sun set.  So instead of seeming longer, the day seemed to end earlier than expected!

Frenchie.

Since the seventh grade I have been studying the French language.  Entering middle school, students were given the choice on whether to take a French, Spanish, or Literature course.  I chose to take French.  I was one out of only ten people in my class.  I excelled in the subject and have taken it by choice ever since.  As a rising junior, or eleventh grader,  I have decided to continue studying French at the AP, or Advanced Placement, level.  There are approximately 120 students in my class and only two of us have decided to take AP French.  Our summer assignment is to read the book Kiffe Kiffe Demain.  That is what I've been doing today!  Gotta love summer work!

Feeling content, I've started on my summer homework which isn't exactly my favorite thing, but hard work pays off.  That is what I always tell myself when I feel fed up with school things, because ultimately we aren't working for tomorrow, we are working for the rest of our lives.  Woah, that just got deep.

I cheated! Sorry, but this honestly sums up the days I have skipped.  I am plum worn out, One Direction, that's all I have to say.  I'm still freaking out knowing that I saw them, like in real life.  It's just crazy, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Seriously, Take Me Home

Hello Suzies,

Let's all just take a moment to scream as long and as loud as you'd like for 5 guys also known as One Direction.  3, 2, 1...

    OK now that we've let that out, I will begin.  My two best friends and I departed from home at 9 A.M on Sunday, Louisville bound.  Jamming out to 5SOS and 1D, we could not believe we were going to see their actual faces later on.  Once in Louisville we did some shopping in high hopes that we might run into Luke, Michael, Calum, Ashton, Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, or Zayn.  We didn't, but I had a Sharpie on standby just in case.  

    We arrived at the hotel we were staying at and the concert preparation commenced.  Yes, One Direction temporary tattoos were applied.  The gates opened at 6 o'clock so we headed over to the venue a few minutes before and the line was crazy long!

    We had our bags checked and unfortunately I wasn't permitted to take my camera in.  I was kind of bummed out because I was super pumped to have an awesome camera to capture my  boys, but oh well!  We bought our concert merch and took our seats.  We waited anxiously along with the rest of the 1D Family- seriously it was like we were all bffs.  5SOS preformed which was out of this world!  While we waited for the boys, songs from the movie Grease were sounded along with the Macarena.  It was hilarious because nearly everyone in the Yum! Center was dancing.  Then it was time, the time I had waited 403 days for, the lights and music shut off and the curtain came up, exposing the silhouettes of the boys. The crowd roared!  The rest of the night was like a dream, words cannot describe the happiness I felt watching five boys I've seen on my computer screen nearly everyday for the past year and a half.  I wonder if they know how much happiness they bring to others by just being five goofballs that can sing?

I absolutely love clothes.  I hope you don't take that materialistically, because I really don't mean it like that. I am extremely blessed when it comes to having the capabilities to buy clothes that I want!  This sweet little dress came from the ever lovely Target.  Target is a great place to find mod pieces for a good price.  This dress is very versatile and can be worn in any season.  This winter I styled it with a chunky yellow necklace, black tights, and sneaker wedges.  My shoes are from ModCloth. ModCloth, ModCloth, ModCloth what am I going to do with you?  When I look at their website I fall in love with everthing I lay my eyes on.  The site is quite girly and quirky and has a little bit of everything for everyone.  The belt is just a skinny suede-ish belt with silver accents.  I actually think this belt came with a shirt I bought from  a shop in Nashville called Posh.  I always have a little spark of fashion envy when I walk into this shop because it is fairly pricey, but the clearence room -yes, I said ROOM- is incredible.  So that's wear I do my shopping in there!  My accessories came from various places like Forever21, Macy's, and my moms jewelry box.

Hello Suzies,

Orange soda & tater tots.

The other night I went out for a girls' night with two really good friends!  We strolled downtown, ate some scrummy ice cream, and had a nice chat!  For the remainder of the evening we just drove.  We drove from one end of the county to the other just talking and laughing the whole way.  For the grand finale we stopped by a local dairy freeze.  They have the BEST tater tots, or 'gems' as they are called on the menu, and soft drinks.  So of course we bought some gems and sodas and sat on a cute picnic table under a rainbow umbrella!

Say hello to Skeeter, a dead mosquito that was smashed by my car door.  If you are thinking, "Ew! This is really freaky," join the club because I agree that it is on the weird side.  I love it though, because I looked past its bizzareness and saw how unconventionally beautiful it was.

30 Day Snap | Day 12

Hello Suzies,

At the ballpark.

For the past several summers, I have spent many nights watching my brother's baseball games.  Like I've said before I adore the sport and really do not mind at all to watch it.  On the other hand, I am not a huge fan of the varied types of bugs that come out on summer nights.  I had many hard shell bugs come flying straight at my face tonight, and I began to become a little on the paranoid side.  Any sound or movement that was like that of a bug's I would shoo away.  I probably shooed away countless imaginary bugs tonight.  All of that nonsense did not take away from the game, though.

Do you ever wonder, Where would we be with out Chuck Taylor?  I have become a huge fan of these cute little sneakers, you can wear them with hardly anything!

To be honest I've always thought that Russian nesting dolls were the neatest things around.  Any time I spot them I'm drawn to them like lead to a magnet.  These nesting dolls where my great-grandmothers.  Now that sit on a shelf as a retro decorations with other knick- knacks.

Ohh looky there!  My dog, Ruby, had a fit when she saw Mr. Rabbit in the garden this morning.  Do you ever wonder what's going through the brain of your pet?  It's funny because Ruby will see animals all of the time in the yard, and she goes absolutely bonkers.  I just wonder what she thinks she would do if she laid her paws on one of them,  maybe she has an interest in ecology..

Today was my brother's birthday, he turned fourteen.  He and my day had a boy's day, and when they came home, upon my brother's request, we ordered some Domino's for dinner.  It was a very chill evening we had pizza, a birthday cake, and my brother opened his gifts!  I think his favorite part of the night though was lighting his OWN birthday candles.. whatever floats your boat, right?

Leather Top & Flatforms

I was psyched to wear this top today!  I have had it for what seems like ages and I thought today would be a perfect day to break it out! I like this top so much because it's different from a lot of clothes people wear where I live.  It it faux leather which makes it quite structured.  It is made of panels which support the fact that it does have a lot of structure. The shorts are definitely one of my go-to items year round.  They fit very nicely and feel very sturdy considering they were a steal from H&M at only $10- YOWZA!  Sadly you cannot see my shoes very well, but they are the BEST.  Flatforms are one probably my favorite trends at the moment!  I had been scavenging around for a black pair for a while so I was über excited when I spotted these on Topshop's website- I wish they would open another closer than L.A.  These flatforms are a little more on the mild side,  they are tastefully glittery black and have a one-inch platform, but I love them! "Do ya love 'em so much ya wanna marry 'em?"  Umm..

Lipstick-Rimmel Kate Moss 12  (the sun was very bright)

I spent this wonderful day with my best friend.  We had lunch and saw a movie.  We saw The Great Gatsby and boy was it incredible.  It was like nothing else I've ever watched, in a way it was kind of artsy in the way it was portrayed.  I'm reading the book for my English class so the movie , I think, will help me bring the words to life.

Patience is key.

Early evening had come and I was racking my brain for photo ideas.  We'd just gone to eat dinner at a local restaurant, as I stepped out of the doors I laid my eyes on this bad boy.  Of course I wasn't very interested in the mechanical and motorcycle-y things about it.  My first words were, "It's a mint motorcycle! How cute!", typical, eh?

It was as though it was waiting on me to get it's picture taken.  How could I have resisted.  Every thing about it is so vintage-y looking.  The studs and leather fringe are perfection, what else can I say?

Hello Suzies,

The sun will come out... in ten minutes?

I woke up to a cloudy day, it's always kind of a bummer for me when the sun isn't out when I wake up.  I love waking up to rays of sunshine streaming through my windows.  All of a sudden the clouds became very upset and it began to POUR down rain.  After about ten minutes of solid downpour, Mr. Sun came out and he's been out for the rest of the day.  That is summer weather for you!

My brother decided to grill out this afternoon for lunch,  chicken wings and pork chops!  It was very scrummy.

30 Day Snap | Day 6

Oh Brother!

I'm not an AVID seamstress, but I do really enjoy sewing!  I use a fairly old sewing machine, it's a Brother sewing machine.  My mom used to sew regularly, she would make purses, and if I remember correctly she sewed a pair of pants for me once.  For the past few years our sewing machine had been collecting dust, but one day I hopped up and said, "Today, I sew."  My mom showed me the ropes and I took it from there.   I have made camera straps, a pouch for  my camera, and other little pouches to use as places put little bits and bobs.  I would like to soon figure out how to make some shorts/pants.  I have always thought about how cool it would be to make my own clothes.

30 Day Snap | Day 5

Hello Suzies,

It's been quite a random day.

It sounds glutenous but it seems that we tend to refer to times during the day as correlating with meals.  Today I woke up around 11 o'clock.  I ate breakfast at lunchtime, I ate lunch at "snack time" (if that's real- 3 o'clock), and I had dinner at late-night snack time... in effect the next couple of days will be off kilter. 

I won't be tired until the wee hours of the morning, then I will attempt to wake myself up earlier than usual so I'm tired at a reasonable time.  Geesh, but it's SUMMERTIME.  I feel as though I'm rambling, so...  I went to a baseball game.  I drank this drink. It was delish.

Everyone has their own form of expression.

Recently I've rekindled my love for creating art pieces.  I have started this piece as I was inspired by a blog post from the ever lovely Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter.  This post HERE really hit home at the time and it is something I try to live by now.  It essentially says that whether the situation is good or bad, you must try your best to "make lemonade".

The cute winking lemon is the logo for my current favorite drink, Hubert's lemonade.  I highly recommend it it you are a lemon-lovin' person.

Baseball, America's pastime & one of my favorite sports! 

As the sun began to set and the cool breeze began to pick up, I whipped out my beloved camera because the "lighting was PERFECT".  I think this is a really neat picture if I do say so myself.  Baseball is my favorite sport to watch, but not only because of the notorious baseball pants but just because I just like the atmosphere.  Yes, it may have only been a Babe Ruth league game with a bunch of 13-16 year- old boys but it was quite enjoyable!

Hello Suzies,

hip hip hooray, it's my first post!

 Phew, here I go.. I'm kind of anxious about writing this.  For a while now I have been debating on starting a blog.  I wasn't quite sure what certain topic I wanted to base it around, but then i decided it could just be like my little journal.  Full of odds and ends of my life.  

Back to the main purpose of this post.  One of my favorite bloggers is Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter, she introduced a fun idea to share stories and pictures for the month of June.  I figured this would be a GREAT way to start up my blog. This is a photo I took recently on a day trip to my favorite city ever, Nashville, Tennessee.  My family and I were strolling around looking for a place to eat when I came upon this, a piggy key chain with keys.  The keys look like they belong to one of those little diaries all little girls have at least once.  This picture really has no gushy meaning, but for some reason when I look back at this picture it never ceases to make me laugh.
