OOTD: Bindi Style

Hello Suzies,

Today we will briefly discuss the somewhat controversial accessory, the bindi.

If you have been keeping up with some of this summer's out-of-the-ordinary trends you most likely have seen many a-celebrities as well as average joes sporting the bindi- once the identification of marriage turned accessory for all people around the world.  I was introduced to this accessory after seeing Gemma Styles and Lou Teasdale wore them at The Craft by Lou Teasdale launch party.

*couldn't find a pic of the two

Inspired by them and other fabulous ladies who have worn them, I decided to wear one myself  today.  Mine was given to me by a dear friend and is very simple- silver and sparkley!
Enjoy.

Don't let anyone dictate your style.  It is your decision and yours only. Peace!

Australian Cowgirl?!

Hello Suzies,

Winter is approaching at a high rate of speed, and I cannot wait!  Winter, after all, is my favorite season.  I also love wearing warm clothes.  Warm clothes require more material, which gives them the potential to be on a higher level of "lovablity"..catch my flow?

Give it up for my dad, who caught this candid without knowing it!  The pleasant turned glutenous yet still pleasant American holiday has come and gone.  I love that holidays because the family gets together for a nice time.  I also love the holidays, as mentioned previously, because of the cold weather attire.  The inspiration for this outfit started with my hat *heart eyes*.  This is no ordinary brimmed hat, it is an Australian cowboy hat.  That's right ladies and gentlemen.  I rediscovered this hat in the storage of my garage and knew I was onto something.  My dad was in the Navy for a while and he had the opportunity to sail around the world.  He was stationed primarily in the far east and Australia.  He purchased this Made-In-Australia hat, not Made-In-China, AUSTRALIA.  I think it's pretty cool.  So that's my story of the day!

Outfit:
Hat- Australia..
Silver Cuff- Forever21
Monogram Necklace- Moon&Lola c/o Blossoms
Chambray Shirt- Gap
Shaw- Free People
Brown Acid Washed Harem Pants- Urban Outfitters
Orange Cone Heels- ModCloth

OOTD

Hello Suzies,

I absolutely love clothes.  I hope you don't take that materialistically, because I really don't mean it like that. I am extremely blessed when it comes to having the capabilities to buy clothes that I want!  This sweet little dress came from the ever lovely Target.  Target is a great place to find mod pieces for a good price.  This dress is very versatile and can be worn in any season.  This winter I styled it with a chunky yellow necklace, black tights, and sneaker wedges.  My shoes are from ModCloth. ModCloth, ModCloth, ModCloth what am I going to do with you?  When I look at their website I fall in love with everthing I lay my eyes on.  The site is quite girly and quirky and has a little bit of everything for everyone.  The belt is just a skinny suede-ish belt with silver accents.  I actually think this belt came with a shirt I bought from  a shop in Nashville called Posh.  I always have a little spark of fashion envy when I walk into this shop because it is fairly pricey, but the clearence room -yes, I said ROOM- is incredible.  So that's wear I do my shopping in there!  My accessories came from various places like Forever21, Macy's, and my moms jewelry box.

30 Day Snap | Day 13

Hello Suzies,

Mosquito.

Say hello to Skeeter, a dead mosquito that was smashed by my car door.  If you are thinking, "Ew! This is really freaky," join the club because I agree that it is on the weird side.  I love it though, because I looked past its bizzareness and saw how unconventionally beautiful it was.
